Q: Does the PI or Team-PI need to be a research performer?
A: The objective of QEP 3.0 is to look at engineering and developmental effort to translate good quantum science into useful applications. Hence, the composition of the team would likely include research performers, engineers, use-case application developers. Please elaborate the roles in Section II-F of the proposal form.
E.g. PI or Team-PI could be a team member of the project providing the end-user problem statements to steer the proposal and work toward meeting the industry or agency partner’s company needs as stated in the collaboration objectives.
