QEP will support the association in offering events, professional development, scientific exchange and social connections
The community of young quantum researchers in Singapore – from postdocs to undergraduates doing final-year projects – has a new association working in their interests.
The Quantum Young Research Association (QYRA), led by a founding committee of PhD students from different institutions, will launch with an event on 5 November 2021. The association intends to organise academic events, offer professional development with speakers from industry, and plan social gatherings online or offline for young researchers to get to know peers in similar fields.
Chair of the QYRA committee Florentin Adam, a PhD student at the Centre for Quantum Technologies at the National Univesity of Singapore, will share more details at the 5 November event. His introduction will be followed by a talk on the QEP ecosystem and a scientific talk on superconducting quantum computing.
